Gold is known and much appreciated since prehistoric times. It may have been the first
metal ever used by man, even before the copper, for ornaments, jewelry and ritual. The gold is
drawn and described in Egyptian hieroglyphics of the fourteenth century BC, and even in the Old Testament
in the Gospels. Gold has long been considered one of the most precious metals, a symbol of
purity, value, loyalty, and the particular roles that combine these qualities.

The mosaics decorates the stone

Grassi 1880 S.p.A. thanks to advanced technologies of numerical control machines and its staff
highly qualified proposes the use of this precious metal by using it in mosaic inlaid with gold at 24 KT fully embedded within the slab of stone that gives life, light, depth
and enrich the value.

This system allows the imagination and creativity of the designer to control the warmth, light and reflections of the surfaces of limestone.

This decoration was patented as a utility model entitled "DECORATIVE ELEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SURFACE COATING OF STRUCTURAL O "No 0000261316"

After the success achieved at Abitare il Tempo (Verona - Italy), Marmomacc (Verona- Italy) and after the exposition in Piazza dei Signori in Vicenza (Italy), the operas realized for the project Palladio e il design litico are going in UK to be exposed in an important showroom of the city: Ltd. - St. James Park - Grimbald Crag Close - Knaresboruogh - Harrogate. We take this chance to thanks the Consorzio dei Marmisti of Chiampo and the designer Raffaello Galiotto for having enabled us to show what we are able to produce in our factories with our "Noble Materials for Architecture".

The presentation of "Palladio and the Litic design" guessed at "Abitare il Tempo" in Verona from September 18t to 22nd was closed with success.
The presentation organized by the Consorzio Marmisti Chiampo, dedicated to the reinterpretation of Andrea Palladio as designer by Raffaello Galiotto has being visited by more than 9000 people both from Italy and abroad.

The presentation will remain for the next Marmomacc trade show in Verona from October 2nd to 5th.
